It will be warm. We were there last year in Aug/Sep and almost never needed a sweater. It is definitely warmer in Oct/Nov. Some suggestions what to bring are below:
Where are you going in Australia??? We have vast differences in weather here all year round but October is generally when it is warming up or has warmed up from winter and we are starting on the hot time of the year. I suggest that you pack for summer with just a few slightly heavier pieces of clothing such as jeans and a light coat. In NZ the weather may be a little cooler at that time of year given that NZ is further south than Australia…I have only been to NZ in February and it was fairly warm…
Mate, it depends on what parts of Oz you will be visiting. For example if you will be in Cairns or North Queensland you will only need shorts, shirts and a hat because it is warm all of the time. But if you are going to lets say Ballarat in Victoria then you will need to be prepared for the possibility of cold (even late frosts) maybe even rain. Maybe you could visit this site and get a feel for the current weather in Australia.
Sorry can’t help you with NZ. Enjoy your trip.
Pack for one or two weeks and do laundry.
Also, it’ll be their Spring there. So pack clothes you would wear in Spring along with possiblly a jacket for rain and/or cool nights.
are you going through a program called people to people if you are you will have a great time i went last year. it will be summer time over there but you might still want to bring a sweat shirt or something just in case. try rolling your clothes or get the travel space bags that **** out the air. make sure you have room for souvenirs. you can have two carry on bags and we all bought another bag when we were over there for gifts and stuff. and make sure you have a converter for electronics. have fun!
