Just before or just after high season. I’ve had lovely travel in early May and mid-September.

September was nice when we travelled and we got to see a lot.

Summer time is the best season – but it would be busy everywhere.

Early May – early June or End of August to September is the perfect time to go.

    Good luck

Italy and France anytime but July and August, and England any time – but if the weather’s a consideration, maybe you shoulld go during July and August.

As soon as you can! I’ve been living in and traveling through Europe (London) for 6 months, and the weather hasn’t been as bad as I’d imagined it to be. So consider visiting in Winter, where you’ll get cheaper hotel/hostel rooms, cheaper air fares between cities (Check out Ryanair and EasyJet!), and fewer crowds at the attractions (such as museums in Italy). You could even get to experience the snow in the beautiful Alps. And if you come in December, there are Christmas markets which open up in many cities, especially throughout Germany. Visiting any of these markets is a magical experience that really gets you in the Christmas spirit!

The only downside to the wintertime is the short days. In London in December, the sun was setting before 4pm, which limits sightseeing. You can try later in winter, Feb-March, for longer days, but you can just head into a pub and experience the local culture and nightlife!

I’d choose June. They can be pretty rainy in April and May

I have traveled a lot to Europe. The summer is HOT and crowded. I now go from mid-September to March.
